Koonunga Hill Chardonnay 2019 - Penfolds
Koonunga Hill Chardonnay from Penfolds is a pure grape variety, creamy white wine from the Australian wine-growing region of South Australia.
In the glass this wine shines in a bright straw yellow with glittering reflections. The fruity bouquet is characterised by juicy, fresh nectarines. This is accompanied by fine oak wood nuances and wonderful hints of summer blossom honey. With juicy fruit of peach and melon this Australian white wine convinces the palate. Delicately creamy vanilla notes combine with notes of malt to create a wonderfully spicy-fruity aroma. The body possesses depth and complexity, which is perfectly accompanied by a fine acidity and the long, fresh finish.
Vinification of Penfolds Chardonnay Koonunga Hills
The Chardonnay grapes for this white wine grow mainly in Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in French oak barrels at the Penfolds winery. Once the fermentation process is complete, this wine remains in the wooden barrels and matures on the fine yeasts.
Food recommendation for the Koonunga Hills Penfolds Chardonnay
