Vinification of the Kreuznacher Pinot Gris of winery In den Zehn Morgen
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Gris. For this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Weingut In den Zehn Morgen, only immaculate grapes were harvested. In the Nahe region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sandstone. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Kreuznacher Grauer Burgunder are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation of 11 months in oak barriques.
