More information about L'Ermite Ermitage blanc - M. Chapoutier

In the glass, this white wine from M. Chapoutier shows aromas of vineyard peach, peaches, mirabelles, nectarines and apricots, complemented by other fruity nuances. This dry white wine from M. Chapoutier is for wine drinkers who prefer to drink bone dry. The L'Ermite Ermitage blanc already comes quite close to this, as it was vinified with just 1.4 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful white wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the L'Ermite Ermitage blanc is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley, more precisely from Hermitage, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by granite.

Vinification of the M. Chapoutier L'Ermite Ermitage blanc

This powerful white wine from France is made from the Marsanne grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of granite. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for L'Ermite Ermitage blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the L'Ermite Ermitage blanc from M. Chapoutier

This French white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to pan-fried potatoes with salmon, spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce or roasted trout with ginger pear.

Awards for the L'Ermite Ermitage blanc from M. Chapoutier
