More information about L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol AOC - Château Gazin

The L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol from the Bordeaux wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a dense purple red. The first nose of the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol reveals notes of blackberries and plums. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

On the palate, the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol from Château Gazin opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. The finish of this very mature red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, Pomerol to be precise, is impressive with its remarkable persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol from Château Gazin

The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully powerful L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol cuvée from Château Gazin is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and less selective machines. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in concrete at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Wine pairing recommendation for the L'Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol from Château Gazin

This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stuffed peppers, lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs or braised chicken in red wine.
