More information
In the glass, the organically produced La Liaison Cuvée from Weingut Toni Hartl shows a bright light red color. Tilting the glass slightly, a transition of color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. If you swirl the glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like way. In the glass, this red wine from Weingut Toni Hartl offers aromas of plums, black currants and blackberries, complemented by other fruity nuances. The Weingut Toni Hartl La Liaison Cuvée presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine premium and site wine segment. Balanced and multifaceted, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the La Liaison Cuvée flatters with a pleasing palate without lacking freshness. In the finish, this mature wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and slate dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Winery Toni Hartl La Liaison Cuvée
The balanced La Liaison Cuvée from Austria is a cuvée, organically produced from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and slate. La Liaison Cuvée is an Old World wine through and through, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this red wine from Austria are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, La Liaison Cuvée is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for 22 months.
