More information
The Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva by Lunelli from Umbria offers a dense, purple-red color in the wine glass. Swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which can be seen in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of the Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva reveals nuances of lilies, plums and prunes. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
The Lunelli Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva is wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a premium and single-vineyard wine. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Umbria wine-growing region impresses with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Lunelli Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties. The Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Lampante Montefalco Rosso Riserva is aged for 30 months in 900-liter oak tonneaux. The ageing in oak barrels is followed by a long period of maturation in the bottle, which makes this red wine even more complex.
