More information about Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon AOP - Mas Janeil

In the glass, Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon from Mas Janeil offers a bright pale yellow color. The first nose of Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon presents notes of peaches, acacia and dried apricot. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

The Mas Janeil Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 2 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. The fruit acidity of Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon is pleasantly rounded and makes this wine wonderfully smooth. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon wine-growing region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of peach and pineapple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and clay are added.

Vinification of the Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon from Mas Janeil

This balanced white wine from France is vinified from Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Viura grapes. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Languedoc-Roussillon. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and shale. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and barely selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the elegant Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon is aged for another 9 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Mas Janeil Le Petit Pas blanc Côtes du Roussillon

Enjoy this white wine from France ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to omelet with salmon and fennel, roasted trout with ginger pear or spaghetti with caper tomato sauce.
