More information

In the glass, the organically produced Leistadt Felsenberg Spätburgunder GG from the house of Rings shows a bright light red color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it stands out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this Old World red wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of violet, lavender, lilac and blackberry, rounded out by air-dried ham, smoked meat and brown bread.

The Rings Leistadt Felsenberg Spätburgunder GG presents itself wonderfully dry to the connoisseur. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the icon wine segment. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Leistadt Felsenberg Spätburgunder GG reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable white from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blueberry and lavender. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and loess dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Rings Leistadt Felsenberg Pinot Noir GG

This balanced red wine from Germany is organically vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and loess. Without question, Leistadt Felsenberg Spätburgunder GG is also defined by the climate and viticultural style of Leistadt. This German wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive manner. The fact that the Spätburgunder grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has an influence on the ripeness of the grapes that cannot be dismissed. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this red wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully milled.

Food recommendation for the Leistadt Felsenberg Spätburgunder GG from Rings

This German red wine is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, ossobuco or lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs.
