More information about Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie AOC - M. Chapoutier

The elegant Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie from M. Chapoutier glides into the glass with a bright purple color. If you give it some air by swirling, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like way. This varietal French wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, black currants, blueberries and blackberries. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, vanilla and toasted barrique.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine icon wine segment, this Frenchman naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley, more precisely from Côte-Rôtie, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by slate.

Vinification of Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie by M. Chapoutier

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Syrah. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from M. Chapoutier. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of shale. Without question, Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie is also determined by climate and viticultural style Côte-Rôtie. This French wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, with an exceptionally impressive presentation. The ripening of the grapes for this Syrah wine is influenced to an undeniable extent by the climate of the growing region. In the Rhône Valley, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks, concrete and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the M. Chapoutier Les Bécasses Côte Rôtie
