More information about Les Cépages Chardonnay IGP Pays d'Oc - Baron Philippe de Rothschild

The light-footed Les Cépages Chardonnay Pays d'Oc from the pen of Baron Philippe de Rothschild shines into the glass with brilliant golden yellow. This varietal French wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of vineyard peach, apricots, peaches and orange blossom. These are joined by hints of roasted hazelnut, whole-nut chocolate and walnut.

This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this French wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. In the finish, this youthful from the Languedoc wine region finally thrills with considerable length. There are again hints of apricot and jasmine. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and marl are added.

Vinification of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Les Cépages Chardonnay Pays d'Oc

The elegant Les Cépages Chardonnay Pays d'Oc from France is a single varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Languedoc. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone, clay and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, Les Cépages Chardonnay Pays d'Oc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....

Food recommendation for the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Les Cépages Chardonnay Pays d'Oc

This white wine from France is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as a companion to asparagus salad with quinoa, potato pan with salmon or Thai cucumber salad.
