The Les Cépages Viognier from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc reveals itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering golden yellow. In the glass, this white wine from Baron Philippe de Rothschild presents aromas of honeysuckle, orange blossom, peaches, mirabelles and jasmine, complemented by forest floor and sun-warmed rock. On the palate, Baron Philippe de Rothschild's Les Cépages Viognier starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. There is dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the second group, as it was bottled with only 1.1 grams of residual sugar. The final of this youthful white wine from the Languedoc wine region finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by limestone and sand.
Vinification of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Les Cépages Viognier
The elegant Les Cépages Viognier from France is a single varietal wine made from the Viognier grape variety. In Languedoc, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, limestone, clay and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
