More information about Les Combettes Côtes du Brian AOC - Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot

Les Combettes Côtes du Brian from the Burgundy wine-growing region shows a dense ruby red color in the glass. At the edge also shows a colored transition to garnet red. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. To the nose, this Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot red wine presents all sorts of blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds other aromas such as licorice, vanilla and blueberry.

This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this French naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. The final of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgundy finally convinces with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Les Combettes Côtes du Brian by Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot

This powerful red wine from France is made from the Marselan grape variety. Les Combettes Côtes du Brian is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
