More information
The Viognier of Les Jamelles from the French wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon is a varietal, fresh and balanced white wine.
This wine has a bright gold color in the glass with sparkling highlights. The aromatic bouquet knows how to convince the nose from the beginning. Juicy apricot and ripe peach reveal themselves, floral notes (lavender, acacia flower and lily) complemented by a hint of banana. On the palate, this French white wine has a smooth, almost syrupy, texture that harmonizes beautifully with the aromas of the nose. The round body also lets itself be taken in by the wonderful freshness and balanced acidity. A pleasantly long finish with a touch of honey concludes this white wine.
Vinification of Les Jamelles Viognier
The vines grow in the Hérault area and in the upper Aude Valley (South Minervois) and are rooted in calcareous soils rich in pebbles.
In the early morning hours, the grapes are harvested and immediately taken to the wine cellar of Les Jamelles. There, the must is fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, this wine is left on the fine lees for a few months.
