More information about Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage AOC - M. Chapoutier

Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage, from the Rhône Valley's M. Chapoutier, presents a bright crimson color in the swirled glass. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from M. Chapoutier shows aromas of roses, lilacs, blackberries, lilies and blueberries, complemented by other fruity nuances. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in this price range, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley finally thrills with considerable length. Again, hints of lavender and blackberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and clay are added.

Vinification of the Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage by M. Chapoutier

The basis for the balanced Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage from the Rhône Valley are grapes from the Syrah grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and granite. Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage is aged for another 6 months in oak barrels.

Food pairing of the Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage by M. Chapoutier

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to braised chicken in red wine, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, or baked feta cheese parcels.

Awards for Les Meysonniers Crozes-Hermitage from M. Chapoutier
