More information about Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - The Hess Collection Winery

In the glass, the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley from The Hess Collection Winery presents a dense purple color. At the edge, this U.S. red also shows a transition to garnet red. If you give it some air by swirling, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from the USA reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of black cherry, black currant, morello cherry and blueberry, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

On the palate, the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley from The Hess Collection Winery opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this punchy red wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the wine-growing region of California finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of plum and blueberry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sandstone join in.

Vinification of the The Hess Collection Winery Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

This powerful red wine from the USA is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Durif and Malbec grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in California. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and sandstone. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is aged for another 20 months in French and American oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley from The Hess Collection Winery

This North American is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pasta with sausage meatballs, leek soup or osso buco.
