With the Bodegas Prieto Pariente Los Confines de Prieto Pariente comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it offers a wonderfully dense, crimson color. With a little sideways lay, the wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. After the initial swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. To the nose, this Bodegas Prieto Pariente red wine shows all sorts of black currants, blackberries, mulberries and blueberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, oriental spices, cocoa bean and cinnamon join in due to the aging in large wooden barrels.
The Bodegas Prieto Pariente Los Confines de Prieto Pariente presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. In the finish, this matured from the wine-growing region of Castile - León finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of blueberry and mulberry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and slate are added.
Vinification of the Bodegas Prieto Pariente Los Confines de Prieto Pariente
This powerful red wine from Spain is vinified from the Garnacha grape variety. In Castile - Leon, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of slate and granite. Los Confines de Prieto Pariente is an Old World wine through and through, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Garnacha grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has a considerable influence on the ripening of the grapes. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly well ripened grapes and rather high alcohol content in the wine. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
