The Macchianera from the pen of Claudio Cipressi of Molise reveals a dense purple color in the glass. The first nose of Macchianera reveals nuances of blackberries, raspberries and sour cherries. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Macchianera of Claudio Cipressi opens pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety, dense and fleshy texture. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Molise finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of sour cherry and raspberry show.
Vinification of Macchianera by Claudio Cipressi
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée Macchianera by Claudio Cipressi are Montepulciano and Tintilia grapes. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Macchianera is aged for another 18 months in oak barriques.
