Mácula from Vitivinicola Tandem is an innovative Spanish blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from the D.O. Navarra in the north of Spain. Translated, Mácula means the art stain symbolized on the label.
In the glass, this wine appears a dark Bordeaux red. A multi-faceted bouquet opens on the nose with notes of pepper, clove, balsamic, dark chocolate and ripe, juicy wild berries. On the palate, this Spanish red wine is powerful and elegant at the same time, structured body with harmoniously integrated tannins, notes of violets and dried flowers. The finish is long and present, elegant and very impressive.
Vinification of the Mácula by Tandem
This red wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot, selected from 28 year old vines. After harvesting and temperature-controlled separate maceration in concrete tanks, this wine is aged for 18 months in 300-liter French oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Tandem Tinto Mácula
A powerful, round red wine that pairs perfectly with braised meats, red meats, rump steak and aged, strong cheeses. But also drunk solo this wine is a pleasure. It is recommended to decant this wine.
