More information
With the Producteurs Plaimont Madiran Plénitude, a first-class red wine comes into the swirling glass. Here it offers a wonderfully dense, crimson color. Held at a slight angle, the edges of this barrel-aged wine show a transition of hue towards garnet red. After the initial swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from France displays wonderfully expressive aromas of mulberry, blueberry, black currant and blackberry, rounded out by cinnamon, dark chocolate and cocoa bean contributed by barrel aging.
On the palate, Producteurs Plaimont's Madiran Plénitude opens delightfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. This melting red wine presents itself full-bodied and complex on the palate. On the finish, this matured from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region finally delights with beautiful length. There are again hints of mulberry and black currant.
Vinification of the Madiran Plénitude from Producteurs Plaimont
The basis for the powerful Madiran Plénitude from Sud-Ouest are grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat varieties. The grapes for this red wine from France, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of the fermentation, the Madiran Plénitude is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
