Mahlzeit Rot - Weingut Korrell

The Mahlzeit Rot from the Korrell winery in the German wine-growing region of Nahe is an elegant, spicy-fruity and classic red wine cuvée from the grape varieties Portugieser, Pinot Noir and Pinot noir precoce.

In a brilliant cherry red with purple highlights, this wine presents itself in the glass. The nose is first taken by a fruity aroma of sun-ripened black cherries. Gradually, spicy notes of cinnamon, some tobacco and vanilla reveal themselves. The palate of this German red wine also reflects the aromas of the nose. The good structure gives support to the body. The tannins are wonderfully silky and perfectly woven. The finish awaits with a pleasant length.

Vinifcation of the red Korrell meal

After the grapes arrive at Korrell's winery, they are destemmed and gently pressed. The must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by aging in older, barrique barrels.

Food recommendation for the Korrell Mahlzeit Rot

This dry red wine from Germany is excellent with venison veal ragout with cranberries, tenderly cooked lamb fillet, but also with a proper snack with sausage and cheese.
