More information
With the Viña Zorzal Malayeto comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully dense, purple color. To the nose, this Viña Zorzal red wine reveals all sorts of blueberries, mulberries, blackberries and black currants. As if that were not impressive enough, the aging in large wooden barrels adds other aromas such as oriental spices, vanilla and cinnamon.
The Malayeto from Viña Zorzal is a good choice for all wine drinkers who like it dry. However, it never shows itself meager or brittle, as one can expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. This melting red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Malayeto flatters with a pleasing palate feeling, without at the same time lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this red wine with good aging potential from the wine-growing region of Aragon, more precisely from Navarra DO, finally thrills with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by limestone and clay.
Vinification of the Viña Zorzal Malayeto
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Garnacha. For this exceptionally powerful single varietal wine from Viña Zorzal, only top quality grapes were brought in. In Aragon, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. The berries for this red wine from Spain, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 9 months in French oak barrels.
