More information
The Malbec Reserve of Domaine Bousquet is an excellent, elegant and balanced red wine from the Argentine wine region Tupungato in Mendoza, vinified from organically grown grapes.
In the glass shimmers a deep purple with an almost black core. The nose presents expressive aromas of wild berries - especially raspberry and blackberry - complemented by juicy plums and spicy notes of vanilla. On the palate, this Argentine red wine convinces with a medium body enveloped by silky tannins. The acidity is very well integrated and gives this wine excellent structure and length.
Vinification of the Bousquet Tupungato Reserve Malbec
This red wine is vinified mainly from organically grown Malbec grapes. Small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are also added. The vines grow in Tupungato, Alto Gualtallary at an altitude of 1200 meters. The soils are rich in sand and gravel.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the third and fourth week of April. Once the grapes arrive at the winery of Bousquet, cold maceration begins at 10 degrees Celsius for 48 hours. The must is then fermented at a controlled temperature for 10 days in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process is completed after an additional 14 days of maceration and malolactic fermentation. Finally, this wine rounds off for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Bousquet Malbec Reserve
This dry red wine from Argentina is an excellent companion to fresh steaks from the grill, juicy marinated ribs or even to mature cheeses.
