The Korsič Malvasia Collio presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as you might expect from a wine. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and crisp texture. Finally, on the finish, this wine from the Friuli Venezia Giulia wine region delights with beautiful length. There are again hints of apricot. In the finish, mineral notes of the sandstone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Korsič Malvasia Collio

The basis for the balanced Malvasia Collio from Italy are grapes from the Malvasia Bianca grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sandstone. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Malvasia Collio can harmonize further for a few months on the fine lees.

Recommended Serving Korsič Malvasia Collio

This Italian is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to chickpea curry, cabbage roulade or leek tortilla.
