Vinification of the Mandrarossa Cartagho 1.5 l Magnum in HK from Cantine Settesoli
The basis for the powerful Mandrarossa Cartagho 1.5 l Magnum in HK from Italy is grapes from the Nero d'Avola grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sandy soils in Sicily. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 16 months of maturation in oak barrels. The ageing in the barrel is followed by considerable bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
