With the Cantine Settesoli Mandrarossa Cartagho, a first-class red wine is poured into the glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, purple-red color. In the glass, this red wine from Cantine Settesoli reveals aromas of blackberries, plums, blueberries, mulberries and black cherries, complemented by oak, cigar box and toasted barrique. On the palate, the Mandrarossa Cartagho from Cantine Settesoli starts off wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. This fleshy and dense red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. The Mandrarossa Cartagho is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its present fruit acidity. On the finish, this young wine from the wine-growing region of Sicily finally impresses with good length. Once again, there are hints of blackberry and mulberry. Mineral notes from the sand-dominated soil are added in the finish.
Vinification of the Cantine Settesoli Mandrarossa Cartagho
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Nero d'Avola grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Sicily. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into sandy soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off. Ageing in wooden barrels is followed by considerable bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Dining recommendations for Cantine Settesoli Mandrarossa Cartagho
This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to rocket penne, spicy curry with lamb or Thai cucumber salad.
