With the Weingut Kiefer Markgräfler Gutedel a first-class white wine comes into the glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant platinum yellow color. To the nose, this Weingut Kiefer white wine reveals all sorts of quince, pears, nashi pear and apples. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more flavors like whole nut chocolate, roasted almond and roasted hazelnut.
The Weingut Kiefer Markgräfler Gutedel presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Due to its concise fruit acid, the Markgräfler Gutedel is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Markgräfler Gutedel
The elegant Markgräfler Gutedel from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the grape variety of the same name. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Markgräfler Gutedel from Weingut Kiefer
This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pasta with sausage dumplings, stir-fried vegetables with fish or spinach gratin with almonds.
