The light-footed Haus Klosterberg Riesling from the house of Markus Molitor flows into the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. The Markus Molitor Haus Klosterberg Riesling impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was brought to the bottle with only 7.3 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this German wine enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Haus Klosterberg Riesling presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Haus Klosterberg Riesling by Markus Molitor
The basis for the elegant Haus Klosterberg Riesling from the Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of slate. What is unusual about the origin of this top wine from Markus Molitor is the fact that the grapes in Mosel grow on stone terraces. This traditional way of vineyard management is unfortunately very laborious and therefore rarely found. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Haus Klosterberg Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Haus Klosterberg Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stir-fried vegetables with fish, roasted trout with ginger pear or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
