The Marzemino from the wine-growing region of Trentino-Alto Adige reveals itself in the glass in bright ruby red. The first nose of Marzemino presents nuances of violets and raspberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
This Italian wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy, dense and velvety texture. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Trentino-Alto Adige, more precisely from Trentino DOC, finally thrills with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Marzemino of Salizzoni
The balanced Marzemino from Italy is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the grape variety Marzemino. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
