The vegan produced Mas Mallola PrioratQ from the house of Marco Abella glides into the glass with a dense purple red. At the edges, this Spanish red also shows a transition into garnet red. Swiveling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. This Spanish cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, plums, black currants and blueberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, black tea and oriental spices.

The Mas Mallola PrioratQ already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.5 grams of residual sugar. The final of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Catalonia, more precisely from Priorat DOQ, finally thrills with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Mas Mallola PrioratQ by Marco Abella

This powerful red wine from Spain is made vegan from the grape varieties Cariñena and Garnacha. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and gently broken up. Then fermentation takes place in concrete, small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the vegan produced Mas Mallola PrioratQ is aged for a few more months in oak barrels. Once the wine is finished, the Mas Mallola PrioratQ is gently harmonized.
