With the Simoncelli Merlot comes a first-class red wine in the well-polished wine glass. He shows he a wonderfully bright, purple color. To the nose, this Simoncelli red wine presents all sorts of blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, cinnamon, cloves and blueberry are added by the expansion in stainless steel.
The Simoncelli Merlot tastes pleasantly dry. He was brought to the bottle with exceptionally little residual sugar. Here it is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian naturally enchants with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly silky, dense and velvety texture. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region Trentino-Alto Adige, more precisely from Trentino DOC, finally convinces with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand.
Vinification of Simoncelli's Merlot
Balanced Merlot from Italy is a single-varietal wine, made from the Merlot grape variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand. After the harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Merlot can harmonize further for 6 months on the fine lees.
Supper recommendation for Simoncelli Merlot
This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, stuffed peppers, or lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs.
