The barrel-aged Metzger Schmuckstück red from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering purple. The first nose of the Metzger Schmuckstück rot reveals notes of plums, morello cherries and blueberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
Weingut Metzger Metzger Schmuckstück rot shows us an incredibly fruity taste on the palate, which is not without reason due to its residual sweet profile. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied red wine presents itself wonderfully dense. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Metzger Schmuckstück rot presents itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of black currant and plum.
Vinification of the Metzger Schmuckstück red from Weingut Metzger
The basis for the elegant Metzger Schmuckstück rot from Rheinhessen are grapes from the grape varieties Acolon, Cabernet Dorio and Cabernet Dorsa. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barriques.
