Salmos DO 2016 - Miguel Torres
The Salmos from Miguel Torres reveals itself in the glass in a deep dark red with purple highlights.
This Spanish red wine unfolds an intense and complex bouquet, which is characterized by mineral aromas. This is accompanied by notes of candied berries and black cherries, caramel and cocoa. Thyme and fresh floral accents of violets complete the aromatic spectrum.
On the palate this full-bodied red wine seduces with its softness and perfectly integrated tannins. These sweet matured tannins give this wine a remarkably long finish and an elegant impression.
Vinification of Miguel Torres Salmos
This wonderful red wine cuvée is made from the Carinena, Syrah and Garnacha Tinta grape varieties, which come from the Spanish Priorat wine-growing region.
After the harvest, the grapes are pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The malolactic fermentation then takes place in French oak barriques in which the Salmos is aged for 16 months.
Food recommendation for the Salmos from Miguel Torres
Enjoy this dry red wine from Spain with roast venison or leg of venison in a dark sauce, spicy and strong stews with beef or mature hard cheese.
