More information about Miras Crianza Pinot Noir - Bodega Miras

In the glass, the Miras Crianza Pinot Noir from Bodega Miras presents a dense light red color. Tilting the glass a bit, a transition of the hue towards garnet red is visible at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. Swiveling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. To the nose, this Bodega Miras red wine shows all sorts of strawberry jams, roses, sour cherries and blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, vanilla, pepper and leather join in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.

The Bodega Miras Miras Crianza Pinot Noir presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine top wine range. This crisp red wine presents itself on the palate full of pressure and facets. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Miras Crianza Pinot Noir flatters with a soft palate feeling, without lacking freshness. The finish of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Patagonia, more precisely from Neuquén, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and gravel.

Vinification of the Bodega Miras Miras Crianza Pinot Noir

The powerful Miras Crianza Pinot Noir from Argentina is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In Patagonia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel. The grapes for this red wine from Argentina are harvested exclusively by hand, at the time of optimal ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the powerful Miras Crianza Pinot Noir is aged for another 10 months in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Miras Crianza Pinot Noir from Bodega Miras

Experience this red wine from Argentina ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to vegetable stew with pesto, leek soup or cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables.
