Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC 2018 - Paolo Manzone

The barrel aged Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba from the Piedmont wine region presents itself in the glass in a dense ruby red colour. When the glass is tilted, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is shown in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. This varietal Italian wine flatters in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, mulberries, blackcurrants and blueberries. This is accompanied by hints of cocoa bean, dark chocolate and black tea.

The Paolo Manzone Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba inspires with its elegant dry taste. It was bottled with only 1 gram of residual sugar. As one can naturally expect from a wine, this Italian naturally enchants with the finest balance in all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. The Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba reveals itself on the palate through its concise fruit acidity, fantastically fresh and lively. In the finish, this red wine from the Piedmont wine growing region finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and mulberry. In the aftertaste mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.

Vinification of the Paolo Manzone Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba

The powerful Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba from Italy is a pure wine, vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. Of course, Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba is also determined by the climate and the style of winegrowing Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC. This Italian wine can be described in the best sense of the word as a wine of the Old World, which is exceptionally impressive. When the grapes for Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba reach optimal ripeness, they are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machinery. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of the fermentation process, the Mirinè Nebbiolo d'Alba is left to harmonize on the fine lees for 12 months.
