More information
This Marco Felluga white wine presents all kinds of apples, quinces, honeysuckle, lime and jasmine to the nose.
The Marco Felluga Mongris Pinot Grigio Collio is pleasantly dry for wine lovers. This white wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. Thanks to its vital fruit acidity, Mongris Pinot Grigio Collio is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region impresses with its exceptional length. There are again hints of lime and honeysuckle. Mineral notes from the marl and clay-dominated soils are added to the finish.
Vinification of Mongris Pinot Grigio Collio by Marco Felluga
This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loam, sandstone, clay and marl. The grapes for this white wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Ageing in oak barrels is followed by a long period of maturation in the bottle, which makes this white wine even more complex.
