Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage AOC 2015 - M. Chapoutier
The Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage appears in the glass in a deep garnet, which is traversed by violet reflections. The wonderful bouquet of this wine contains the fruity aromas of red berries, such as raspberries and currants, as well as a touch of liquorice and pepper.
On the palate, this red wine is round and elegant, concentrated and with gentle tannins. The reverberation of this wine is characterized by the already perceived red fruits and pepper.
Vinification for the Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage
The Hermitage is located on the northern Rhône and covers approximately 136 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on granite quartz sand, which is covered by mica shards and gneiss.
The climate is influenced by the Mediterranean and with its southern orientation, the Hermitage offers the vine protection from cold north winds.
After the harvesting, the grapes are de-stemmed, which means they are freed from stems and stalks, pressed and then fermented at controlled temperature in tanks of cement. The wine then ripens in wooden barrels for 12 to 14 months.
Food recommendation for the Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage
Enjoy this dry red wine with short fried meat (like sirloin steak, rump steak or lamb chops), or with grilled dishes and venison.
