In the glass, the Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil from the house of Seguin-Manuel reveals a bright golden yellow color. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Seguin-Manuel displays aromas of vineyard peach, mirabelle plums, peaches, quince and apricots, complemented by other fruity nuances. This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 0.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the top wine range, this French enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the tongue, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. The fruit acidity of the Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil is pleasantly rounded and makes this wine wonderfully smooth. On the finish, this youthful white from the Burgundy winegrowing region finally delights with beautiful length. There are again hints of peach and mirabelle. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and clay join in.
Vinification of the Seguin-Manuel Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil
The basis for the balanced Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil from Burgundy are grapes from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgundy. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and clay. Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Montagny 1er Cru Vigne du Soleil are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of crude and less selective machinery. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels.
