The estate Monte da Ravasqueira was acquired by D. Manuel de Mello in 1943 as a house for the family. Here were bred primarily horses, but increasingly planted vines. in 2001 finally came the first duck, labeled "MR" - Monte da Ravasqueira, but never came to market and is now considered a relic of great symbolism within the family and Ravasqueira workers.
MR - a modern winemaking story
in 2012, the Monte da Ravasqueira winery decided to hire a new cellar master, Pedro Pereira Gonçalves, to take on the challenge of a new oenological philosophy and rethink Monte da Ravasqueira's wine profile.
