Markus Pfaffmann's light-bodied MP Merlot Rosé glows with brilliant raspberry pink in the glass. To the nose, this Markus Pfaffmann rosé wine presents all manner of wild berry confit, wild berry jam, plum marmalade, Mon Cheri cherry and rum pot. As if that weren't already impressive, stainless steel aging adds more flavors like brioche, yeast toast and cream candy.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 6.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed rosé wine is wonderfully light. With its present fruit acidity, the MP Merlot Rosé presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally thrilled with good length. Again, hints of wild berry confit and rum pot show up.
Vinification of the MP Merlot Rosé by Markus Pfaffmann
The basis for the elegant MP Merlot Rosé from the Palatinate are grapes from the grape variety Merlot. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the MP Merlot Rosé can further harmonize on the fine lees for several months....
