The light-footed Müller-Thurgau Magnum from Castell-Castell shines into the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. The first nose of Müller-Thurgau Magnum shows notes of lime, nashi pear and pineapple. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Müller-Thurgau Magnum from Castell-Castell is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who like as little residual sweetness as possible in their wine. However, it never appears meager or brittle, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of star fruit and nashi pear are evident. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and loam are added.
Vinification of the Müller-Thurgau Magnum by Castell-Castell
This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Müller-Thurgau grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Franconia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam and clay. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Müller-Thurgau Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Müller-Thurgau Magnum by Castell-Castell
This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots, spicy curry with lamb or coconut-lime fish curry.
