More information about Muskateller Sand - Weingut Pfaffl

The bouquet of this white wine from Lower Austria seduces with hints of quince, apple, nashi pear and pear. If we trace the aromatics further, brittle, gingerbread spice and roasted hazelnut are added.

On the palate, the Muskateller Sand from Weingut Pfaffl opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Muskateller Sand flatters with a pleasing mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of pear and quince show up. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Muskateller Sand from Pfaffl Winery

This balanced white wine from Austria is vinified from the Muskateller grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils made of sand. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Muskateller Sand can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....

Food recommendation for the winery Pfaffl Muskateller Sand

This Austrian wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to roasted trout with ginger pear, vegetable salad with beetroot or wok vegetables with fish.
