Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2015 - Borgogno

The Nebbiolo Langhe from Borgogno is a character-strong, charming and grape variety pure red wine from the Italian wine-growing region DOC Langhe in Piedmont.

This red wine presents itself in the glass with a rich purple red and ruby red highlights. The complex bouquet enchants the nose with aromas of juicy cherries, ripe plums and ripe berries - especially raspberries and blackberries. This is accompanied by spicy notes of cinnamon, clove, black pepper and a little liquorice. With a wonderful harmony between fullness of fruit, freshness and spiciness, this Italian red wine skillfully captures the palate. The tannins are very well integrated into the body and accompany the long finish.

Vinification of the Borgogno Nebbiolo Langhe

After harvesting the Nebbiolo grapes, the grapes are taken to the Giacomo Borgogno & Figli cellar. The must ferments for a total of 15 days at a temperature of 24 to 28 degrees Celsius in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mash is gently squeezed and the ageing begins for 10 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. This wine then rests in the bottle for another 3 months before leaving the winery.
