More information
In the glass, the Negre of Bodegas Ribas presents a dense ruby color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Negre flatters with notes of raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Negre from Bodegas Ribas opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an immensely velvety texture. The final of this good aging red wine from the wine-growing region of the Balearic Islands, more precisely from Mallorca VT, finally thrilled with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Negre from Bodegas Ribas
This powerful red wine from Spain is cuvetted from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Manto Negro, Merlot and Syrah. Negre is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this red wine from Spain, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Negre can further harmonize for 10 months on the fine lees.
