The Negresco Valtènesi Rosso from Cà Maiol in Lombardy presents a dense, ruby red color in the glass. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in the clear stained glass windows on the edge of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Cà Maiol reveals aromas of blackcurrants, blueberries, mulberries, morello cherries and plums, complemented by garrigue, vanilla and juniper. On the palate, the Negresco Valtènesi Rosso from Cà Maiol opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully silky, melting, velvety and dense. Thanks to its moderate fruit acidity, the Negresco Valtènesi Rosso has a pleasant mouthfeel without lacking freshness. Vinification of the Cà Maiol Negresco Valtènesi Rosso

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Negresco Valtènesi Rosso cuvée from Cà Maiol are Barbera, Groppello, Marzemino and Sangiovese grapes. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils in Lombardy. Naturally, the Negresco Valtènesi Rosso is also determined by the climate and viticultural style of the Valtenèsi DOC. This Italian wine can literally be described as an Old World wine, which is exceptionally fragrant. The development of the grapes for this wine from Barbera, Groppello, Marzemino and Sangiovese is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Lombardy, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After being hand-picked, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
