More information
The Passivento Rosso from Barone Montalto is a single-varietal Nero d'Avola that presents itself with a strong, purple-red color in the glass.
This Italian red wine caresses the nose with all kinds of ripe, fresh and dried berries, plums and a little Mon Chéri cherry. Spicy aromas of butter caramel, candied figs and delicate, fine oak round off the bouquet perfectly. The Passivento Nero d'Avola from Sicily delights the palate with its round, full-bodied and rich taste. The fine sweetness is offset by a fruity freshness and soft tannins.
Vinification of the Barone Montalto Passivento
The vines for this wine are rooted in sandy soils with clay enrichment in Sicily and therefore soak up plenty of sun throughout the year. The grapes dry on the vine, but are also dried at the winery after the harvest. The fully ripe grapes are then fermented on the skins for 15 days and finally matured for 4 months in barrique barrels.
Recommendation for Barone Montalto Passivento Rosso
Enjoy this semi-dry red wine from Barone Montalto in Sicily with suckling pig, pâtés or salami.
