In the glass, this red wine from Salzl Seewinkelhof shows aromas of blackberries, mulberries, black currants, quince and nashi pear, complemented by sun-warmed rocks and forest floor. The Neusiedlersee DAC from Salzl Seewinkelhof is the right choice for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sweetness in the wine as possible. At the same time, however, it never appears meager or brittle, as one might naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully crisp. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Neusiedlersee DAC flatters with a soft mouthfeel without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland, more precisely from Lake Neusiedl, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and gravel.
Vinification of the Salzl Seewinkelhof Neusiedlersee DAC
The basis for the balanced Neusiedlersee DAC from Burgenland are grapes from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand and gravel. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Neusiedlersee DAC can continue to harmonize for 6 months on the fine lees....

This Austrian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to Thai cucumber salad, lemon chili chicken with bulgur or goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram.
