More information about Niederhausen Steinberg Riesling GG trocken - Gut Hermannsberg

In the glass, the Niederhausen Steinberg Riesling GG from Gut Hermannsberg displays a brilliantly shimmering light yellow color. When swirling the wine glass, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful brilliance that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. This single varietal German wine reveals delightfully complex notes of cherry blossom, honeysuckle, lime and quince in the glass. These are joined by hints of lovage, juniper and cream candy.

On the palate, the Niederhausen Steinberg Riesling GG from Gut Hermannsberg starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. In the finish, this well storable white wine from the wine-growing region the Nahe finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of papaya and apple show through.

Vinification of the Gut Hermannsberg Niederhausen Steinberg Riesling GG

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. For this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Gut Hermannsberg, only first-class grapes were harvested. The ripening of the grapes for this Riesling wine is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In the Nahe, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and rather moderate must weight. The grapes for this white wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimal ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Niederhausen Steinberg Riesling GG from Gut Hermannsberg

This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to coconut-lime fish curry, fruity endive salad, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
