The barrel-aged Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 l magnum from the wine-growing region of Tuscany presents itself in the glass in a bright purple, ruby red. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the edges. If you give it a little air in the glass by swirling it, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. This Italian cuvée displays wonderfully elegant and complex notes of blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants and Nashi pears in the glass. There are also hints of dark chocolate, vanilla and black tea.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 1.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this Italian wine naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 l Magnum is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this well-matured red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with a remarkable aftertaste.

Once perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 l Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
