More information
In the glass, the Obac from Binigrau offers a dense ruby color. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is reflected in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Obac shows nuances of blackcurrant. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Obac of Binigrau starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. The final of this good aging red wine from the wine-growing region of the Balearic Islands finally thrilled with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Binigrau Obac
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée Obac from Binigrau are Cabernet Sauvignon, Callet, Manto Negro, Merlot and Syrah grapes. Obac is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grapes have been harvested, they arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Obac is aged for another 14 months in French oak barrels.
