More information about Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Spätburgunder trocken - Landerer

The Landerer Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir is a first-class red wine. It offers a wonderfully bright, light red color. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. This single varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of plums, lemongrass, apples and grapefruit in the glass. These are joined by hints of smoked meat, black tea and gingerbread spice.

The Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir from Landerer is just right for all wine drinkers who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, as one would naturally expect from a wine in the top wine range. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. With its present fruit acidity, the Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of pink grapefruit and grapefruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and volcanic rock join in.

Vinification of the Landerer Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir

The basis for the balanced Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir from Baden are grapes from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loess and volcanic rock. Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The development of the grapes for this wine made from Pinot Noir is influenced to a considerable degree by the climate of the growing region. In Baden, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and rather moderate must weight. The grapes for this red wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir is aged for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Landerer Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Noir

Enjoy this red wine from Germany ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to veal and onion casserole, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or arugula penne.
